We will only disclose your Personal Information to third parties when one of the following limited situations arise: Insurance Companies and Licensed Agents — If you submit a quote or application, we will disclose your personal information to your chosen insurance company to process your application. If you submit an application for an insurance product offered through an insurance agent or agency with whom we have associated, then we may disclose your Personal Information to that agent or agency to process your requested quote or application. Please be assured that the agent or agency is only allowed to use your personal information to process your requested quote or application and is contractually obligated to maintain strict confidentiality. Be sure to read all notices and authorizations connected with an application before completion.

 

Service Providers— We may disclose your personal information to other companies that help us process or service your insurance application. Be assured that we will only disclose the portion of your personal information that is necessary to process or service your insurance application. These third parties are not allowed to use personal information except for the purpose of providing these services. For instance, we disclose a customer’s credit card number, expiration date, and state of residency to our credit card processor in order to process the charges through the issuing bank of the credit card. The companies we hire to process or service your insurance application or correspond with you are not allowed to use your Personal Information for their own purposes and are contractually obligated to maintain strict confidentiality. 

 

Legal Obligations — We may disclose or report your personal information when we believe, in good faith, that the disclosure is required or permitted under law, for example, to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities or to resolve consumer disputes.

 

Any third party disputes related to this privacy policy will be resolved according to Aon policies and contractual agreements with Insurance Companies, Licensed Agents and Service Providers.Attorneys Advantage complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the collection and handling of your Personal information, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) Act of 1996, certain other laws.

 

Security
When you submit an online application on attorneys-advantage.com please be advised that we use the latest 128-bit encryption technology. Our servers use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption that safeguards Personal Information and privacy. Unfortunately, data transmitted over the Internet cannot be guaranteed 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk. This is especially true for information you transmit to us via e-mail. We have no way of protecting that information until it reaches us. Once we receive your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on our servers.

 

Internally, we restrict access to Personal Information to employees who need access to the information in order to process your application, quote or service request. These employees are limited in number, and are committed to our privacy and security policies. We will review our security arrangements from time to time as we deem appropriate. SAFEGUARDING AND MAINTAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We restrict access to non-public personal information about you, which we hold, to those employees and others who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.   Their right to further use the non-public personal information about you is limited by our employee code of conduct, applicable law and non-disclosure agreements where appropriate.  We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable regulatory standards to guard your non-public personal information.

 

For Minnesota Residents
The disclosure of personal information among Affinity Insurance Services, Inc and affiliates is authorized under the Minnesota Insurance Fair Information Report Act, § 72A.502, subdivision 8, which allows for disclosure without written authorization where i) the personal information is used for a limited purpose and ii) the affiliate agrees not to disclose the information for any other purpose or to unaffiliated persons.

 

For Montana Residents
The disclosure of personal information among Affinity Insurance Services, Inc and affiliates is authorized under Montana’s Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act, MCA 33-19-306 (12)(a) and (b), which allows for disclosure without written authorization where i) the personal information is used in connection with an audit or to enable Affinity Insurance Services, Inc to perform an insurance function and ii) an appropriate agreement is executed with the affiliate to limit the affiliate’s use and disclosure of the personal information.

 

For New Mexico Residents
We may disclose personal information among Affinity Insurance Services, Inc and affiliates without written authorization pursuant to New Mexico’s Privacy Rule, 13.1.2.1 through 13.1.3.23 NMAC.  However, any such disclosure will be only to the extent necessary to effect, administer or enforce a transaction that you have requested or authorized.

 

For North Dakota Residents
NDCC 26.1-02-27 permits Affinity Insurance Services, Inc to disclose personal information pursuant to NDCC 45-14-01-11, which sets forth North Dakota’s rules promulgated in accordance with NAIC’s Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information and allows for disclosure where appropriate opt-out notice and opportunity has been given.

 

For Vermont Residents
Affinity Insurance Services, Inc. is authorized to disclose personal information under Vermont’s Privacy of Consumer Financial and Health Information Regulation Article IV, Sections 14(A), (B) and (C), which provide an exception to the general “opt-in” rule (which requires consumers to affirmatively agree to disclosure) where Affinity Insurance Services, Inc executes an appropriate agreement with the third party that limits the third party’s use and disclosure of the personal information.  Affinity Insurance Services, Inc is further authorized to disclose personal information under Sections 15(A) and (B) which provide an exception to the “opt-in” requirement where the disclosure of personal information is necessary to affect, administer or enforce a transaction that the customer authorizes.  Our release of personal information is also authorized where permitted by law under Section 1.
